Letter To My Future Self

Hello! 

This is going to be a personal post but its something that I have wanted to do for a while, feel free to read it if you want.

Dear Future Jodie, 

 

The date today is 13/07/2015 and the time is currently 17:53 and you are sat on your bed that has a zebra print duvet and minnie mouse sat on it beside you. You are typing this on the pink laptop with the nail varish all over it while listening to Rejects by 5SOS (this is a tune by the way! I hope you still like it.) 

There are many things that past you hopes for you. I hope you are happy with your life no matter what happens. Although I want you to be happy no matter what, I also hope that you have managed to become the teacher that I so desperately fought for you to get on the road towards. If not, I hopes you are still in the childcare industry as that has been your dream since you were a child yourself. Have you done that charity work in Africa with children who struggle to get an education that you have wanted to do ever since you started to watch Comic Relief and Children in Need? (I really hope you have) If it is no longer your dream, what is? Why did you change your mind? Are you making your new dream a reality? 

Have you managed to start your life long goal of visiting every continent or is this still a dream that you are waiting to come true? Have you been back to Fuerteventura, your happy place? Do you still live in the town that I been wanting to escape since I was 13? Or have you managed to escape?

Have you found "the one" or you still not that fussed about all that relationship stuff? If you have found him, do you have any children? I always wanted them and I loved looking after Kian, your nephew. How is he and the rest of the family? Are you close to them or have you grown apart? I hopes you still see them all the time. That you continue to see your gran on a Thursday for a cup of tea and a gossip about the soaps. That you still cringe when your dad tells his so called jokes. That you and your mum still think of Rio and the times you had with him (even though, he is alive as I write this, I hope he has years left in him). That you and your brothers have become close again after the awkward teenager stage. 

And what about friends? Are you and Mrs King (if you can't remember this, slap yourself!) still friends and do you still joke about that guy that occupied your mind during high school? I hope you two are still as crazy as you were. And I hope you still keep in touch with the other important friends in your life and I hope you have made new life long friends as well.

Well, this is almost over, but I thought I'd let you know some of my favourite things:

How have these changed? I hope you remember these things and I hope you are happy.
